Golden, Then Red: A Destination Beach Wedding at InterContinental Phu Quoc | Natalie & Hung

Some weddings simply get the light right. Natalie and Hung gathered the people they love most, family and friends who all flew in from the US, for an intimate beach wedding at InterContinental Phu Quoc. No crowd, no fuss, just a small, warm circle on the sand with the sea stretching out beyond.

The ceremony unfolded on a pampas-lined aisle that led straight to the water, under a simple arch, in the low gold light of a Phu Quoc afternoon. They read their vows with the ocean behind them, there were tears and there was laughter, and their guests sent them back up the aisle in a shower of confetti.

Then the island gave us something rare. The golden hour deepened, the sun dropped toward the horizon, and the whole sky caught fire, glowing orange and then a deep, burning red across the sea.

As night fell, the celebration moved beneath a canopy of warm lights on the beach: a grand entrance, champagne, first dances, and everyone they love dancing in the sand well into the night. The perfect end to a perfect day.
