A Da Lat Waterfall Elopement on 35mm Film — Tiến Anh & Trân's Private Vow Ceremony at Liêng Chi Nha & Suối Tía
Some couples want a wedding. Tiến Anh and Trân wanted a moment that belonged only to them. So we eloped with them into the highlands of Da Lat for two days, and built an intimate elopement around a single idea: a private vow ceremony, just the two of them, in the wildest and most beautiful places we could find. Every frame you see here was shot entirely on 35mm film, which is exactly why it looks this way: soft, warm and timeless, with a grain and a gentleness a sensor cannot fake. Day one — a private vow ceremony at Liêng Chi Nha waterfall. We drove out to Liêng Chi Nha, a waterfall few people reach, and in the raw, romantic wilderness at its foot we created something small and deliberate: a little field of flowers, a single point of colour against all that untamed green. There, with the water falling behind them, Tiến Anh and Trân read vows they had written by hand. Perhaps they had said things like this to each other before, but never here, never in this light. The words felt sacred and moving in a way that is hard to put into language, so mostly we stayed quiet and let the film hold it.
Day two — sunrise mist at Suối Tía. The second morning we moved to Suối Tía, on the edge of Da Lat, and the day handed us a gift. A thick blanket of mist was drifting across the water when we arrived, and as the sun climbed it turned the whole lake to gold. Drifting out in a small wooden boat through that glowing haze, it genuinely felt like standing inside a fairytale, the kind of light you wait years for and rarely catch. For an elopement, you could not ask for a more perfect close.
