Michael & Theresa: A Relaxed Couple Photoshoot Through Hoi An & Da Nang

When Michael and Theresa planned their trip to Vietnam, they wanted more than a few phone snapshots to remember it by. They travelled all the way through Ho Chi Minh City, Da Lat, Da Nang and Hoi An, and asked us to come along and quietly document the two of them as they went. This is the Hoi An and Da Nang chapter of their journey, and it is exactly the kind of relaxed, wander-and-play couple photoshoot we love most.

Wandering Hoi An Ancient Town

We started early, before the crowds, and simply walked. Michael and Theresa held hands, laughed, and let the old town happen around them. A curious street dog trotted over to say hello. They slipped through a narrow ochre-yellow alley, paused by an old shophouse as a street sweeper rolled past, and posed with a red bicycle under a canopy of silk lanterns. There was no stiff posing, just the two of them being themselves in the most photogenic town in Vietnam.

We finished the old town at the Japanese Covered Bridge, Hoi An's most iconic landmark, as the afternoon light turned soft and gold.

The Da Nang coast

Then we headed for the beach. Barefoot in the sand, her dress catching the wind, the Da Nang skyline far behind, it was a completely different mood from the lantern-lit lanes. From above, our drone caught them as two tiny figures walking the shoreline, and lying inside a heart drawn in the sand. We even framed the two of them through their own wedding rings, resting on the sand.

Travelling Vietnam with a photographer

The best photos happen when nobody is posing. If you feel awkward in front of a camera, that is exactly who we love photographing, we keep it light, let the real moments happen, and hand back every edited photo so you can relive your trip forever. Whether it is your honeymoon, an anniversary, or simply a once-in-a-lifetime journey through Vietnam, a relaxed couple session turns your trip into something you will look at for years.
