A Pre-Wedding at the Ho Chi Minh City Museum | Hiếu & Phát

Some of our favourite pre-wedding photos in Saigon happen inside a single building: the Ho Chi Minh City Museum. When Hiếu and Phát wanted images that felt classic and quietly grand, we spent a morning here, moving through its colonnades, curved staircases and shuttered windows while the light did most of the work.

Built in the 1880s as a French colonial palace, the Ho Chi Minh City Museum (Bảo Tàng Thành phố Hồ Chí Minh) is one of the most beautiful pre-wedding locations in Saigon. Black-and-white checkered floors, tall louvered shutters, a sweeping grand staircase and a domed rotunda give every frame a timeless, editorial feel, with none of the travel a destination shoot usually needs. For overseas couples marrying in Vietnam, it is an easy, central place to gather photographs that look like they belong in a European palazzo.

We kept it simple: a lace gown, a small bunch of white tulips, and natural light pouring through the old windows. Hiếu and Phát are easy together, so many of these frames are just the two of them walking, pausing and laughing in the quiet corridors. The building's symmetry does the rest, framing them against arches, banisters and shafts of morning sun.

Every corner of the museum offers something different: a bright window, a shadowed corridor, a quiet balcony above the street. We let Hiếu and Phát wander and simply followed, catching the small, in-between moments that make a pre-wedding set feel like a real morning rather than a series of poses.
