An Intimate Beach Wedding at Mikazuki Da Nang: Tiffany & Jacob

The most moving weddings are not always the biggest. Tiffany and Jacob proved it on the white sand of Mikazuki beach in Da Nang, where, with only family and a few of their closest friends gathered near, they exchanged vows beside a calm, open sea. It was intimate, unhurried and deeply personal, and the Da Nang sunset gave the day a light you could never plan for. Here is their story, and a few thoughts on why this stretch of coast is such a beautiful place to marry.

The setting: Mikazuki beach, Da Nang

Da Nang Mikazuki Japanese Resorts and Spa sits on Xuan Thieu beach, along the curve of Da Nang Bay. What makes it special for a wedding is the beach itself: a long, soft stretch of white sand, a gentle sea, and wide open space with mountains rising across the water. It feels private and unhurried, exactly the kind of place where a small ceremony can breathe.

An intimate vow ceremony

Tiffany and Jacob kept their guest list small, just family and a handful of dear friends, seated close on white chairs along a short aisle of flowers. At the end of it stood a soft floral arch and the open sea. There is a particular kind of honesty that comes with a small ceremony. Without a crowd to perform for, the vows were quiet and real, spoken only to each other and meant from somewhere deep.

A gentle Da Nang sunset

As the afternoon eased into evening, the sky over the bay turned to blush and gold, and the far mountains softened into blue. This is the light every beach wedding hopes for: warm, directional and forgiving, wrapping the couple and their guests in colour. We timed the day around it, so the vows and the portraits that followed all unfolded in that last, golden hour.

Planning a beach wedding in Da Nang

A few things we have learned from shooting the Da Nang coast. The dry season, roughly February to August, gives you the most reliable sunshine and calm evenings. Build the timeline around the sun rather than the clock: start the ceremony about an hour before sunset, and you get a relaxed exchange in soft light and a full golden hour for portraits straight after. And an intimate guest count suits the beach beautifully, it keeps the day personal and lets the setting do the rest.
