Outside, the evening was all rain and wind. Inside, it was the exact opposite, candlelight, laughter, and a room full of the people who love Ân and Thương most. Their Da Nang wedding was small on paper, just a close circle of family and friends, but it turned out to be one of the most alive celebrations we photographed all year. Proof, again, that an intimate wedding is never a quiet one.

With a gathering this size, no one sits on the sidelines. Everyone was in it, leaning in during the vows, wiping away a quiet tear, raising a glass a beat too enthusiastically. The candlelit tables, the warm red florals, the way the whole room turned toward the couple: it all had the closeness you only get when everyone actually knows you.
As photographers, this is the kind of night we love most. We don't stage it. We move quietly through the warmth and let the real moments find us.
The evening began soft and refined: Thương in a white gown and a delicate crown, a heartfelt toast, tears and applause in equal measure. And then, as the plates cleared, the whole thing shifted gears, a bolder second look, the lights dropped low, and the room became a proper party.

Mirror balls turned overhead, a haze of light rolled across the floor, and the intimate dinner became a dance floor packed with glow sticks and everyone the couple loves. It's rare to see a wedding hold both moods so well, tender one hour, full-throttle the next, but Ân and Thương's did it effortlessly.

Da Nang is quietly one of our favourite cities for a small celebration. It's easy to reach, relaxed, and full of venues that scale beautifully to a close guest list, you can go from a candlelit dinner to a real dance floor without ever leaving the room. And the rain? Central Vietnam sees its share from roughly September to December. Don't fear it: rain gives you drama, reflections and a coziness that pulls everyone closer. Some of our favourite frames all year happened while it poured outside.
Thank you, Ân and Thương, for a night we won't forget, the storm outside, the warmth within, and a dance floor that didn't quit. With gratitude to 2S Planner and Mon Fiancé Studio for making it so seamless.
