Melia Ho Tram Family & Engagement Photoshoot: A Beach Resort Session Near Saigon (Tim & Hai Anh)

Only a couple of hours from Saigon, Melia Ho Tram is one of the easiest beach resorts to escape to, and it turns out to be a wonderful place to photograph not just a couple, but a whole family. Tim and Hai Anh brought their little boy along for a session that was part engagement shoot, part pre-wedding, and part family portrait day, moving from the beach to the resort's sunlit rooms and tropical gardens. Here is how it went.

On the beach

We started on the sand in front of Melia Ho Tram, with its long jetty stretching out into the sea behind us. Tim and Hai Anh looked every bit the couple in navy and white with a bold red bouquet, but it was their little boy who stole the show, riding on Dad's shoulders, running circles around them, and turning a couple session into a joyful family one.

For the second look we moved into a bright, airy room at the resort and put the whole family in soft white. This is where the real personalities came out: the jumping, the giggling, the pile-of-smiles portraits that only happen when everyone is relaxed and having fun. These are the frames a family keeps forever.

Through the resort gardens

Melia Ho Tram's grounds are lush and tropical, full of frangipani, lily ponds and quiet green corners. We wandered the gardens, borrowed a couple of the resort bicycles, and rode the tree-lined paths along the water as the afternoon softened. It is the kind of easy, unhurried backdrop that makes a family shoot feel like a real holiday.
