How Much Does a Wedding Photographer in Vietnam Cost? A 2026 Guide for Overseas Couples

One of the very first questions overseas couples ask us is the most practical one: how much does a wedding photographer in Vietnam actually cost? It is a fair question, and a hard one to answer honestly online, because so few studios publish real numbers. So here is a clear, no-nonsense guide to what you can expect to pay, what changes the price, and why Vietnam offers some of the best value in the world for beautiful wedding photography.

The short answer

At TIMO Wedding, our collections are built to be transparent and fair. As a guide:

  • Pre-wedding and elopement sessions start from around 15,000,000 to 20,000,000 VND (about US$600 to 800).
  • Wedding-day coverage starts from around 15,000,000 VND (about US$600).
  • Multi-day destination weddings start from around 21,000,000 VND (about US$840).

Every couple is different, so the final figure depends on your plans. But those numbers give you an honest starting point rather than a vague 'contact us for pricing'.

Why Vietnam is such good value

If you have researched photographers in Europe, the US or Australia, or the travelling Western photographers who fly into Asia, you have probably seen day rates of US$2,400 to 5,000 and up. In Vietnam, you get genuinely local, award-winning photographers who know these places intimately, for a fraction of that. You are not paying for someone's flights and hotels. You are paying for craft, and the savings are real, not a drop in quality.

What changes the price

A handful of things move a quote up or down. Knowing them helps you plan a package that fits your budget:

  • Hours of coverage. A two-hour elopement costs less than full-day coverage from getting ready to the last dance.
  • Film as well as digital. Real 35mm and 120mm film adds the cost of the rolls plus hand developing and scanning, so it is offered as an option on top of a session.
  • Number of locations. A single beach at sunset is simpler than a day that moves from an old town to a lake to a garden.
  • Travel. Island destinations like Phu Quoc involve flights and logistics, which we build into a clear quote up front.
  • Video. Adding a cinematic film of the day is a separate craft, and a separate line on the quote.
  • Season and dates. Peak dry-season weekends book out first, so flexibility can help.

Digital, film, or both?

Digital is the most cost-effective choice and gives you full, reliable coverage of the whole day. Film adds soul, grain and a timeless quality that ages beautifully, at a little more cost and a slightly longer wait while it is developed by hand. Our advice: shoot digital for safety and full coverage, and add a roll or two of film for the frames you will treasure most. You are never choosing between film and peace of mind.

What is usually included

A typical TIMO collection includes the agreed hours of coverage, a professionally edited gallery of high-resolution images, an online gallery to share with family, and planning support before the day. Pre-wedding sessions include location scouting and a route designed around your personalities. For couples travelling from abroad, we plan the whole thing together by email or chat before you land, so all you have to do on the day is enjoy it.
