Hoi An is one of the country's most romantic places to marry — a UNESCO-listed old town glowing with silk lanterns, a slow river, golden rice fields, and a quiet beach just minutes away. Few places feel as cinematic as Hoi An after dark, when the lanterns come on and their colours pool on the Thu Bon river. But there's far more than the old town: An Bang beach for barefoot ceremonies, emerald rice paddies on the edge of town, and French-yellow walls that photograph beautifully in soft morning light. The best time of year in Hoi An

Central Vietnam is driest and brightest from roughly February to August. Be mindful of October and November — the wettest months, when Hoi An can flood — and plan outdoor shoots around them. For the old town, early morning gives you quiet streets and soft light, while after dusk brings the lanterns to life.
